Moisture Kit for ASTM F2170 Testing in Concrete Floor Slabs

The new Protimeter MMS3 Flooring kit has been developed to fully comply with the ASTM F2170 standard for in situ humidity test in concrete. Included is the multi-function Protimeter MMS3 that also allows rapid evaluation of the slabs moisture level. The new patent pending adjustable sleeves allow the user to make measurements in 4” to 6” concrete slabs without the need for cutting the sleeves. Mini Hygrostick sensors are reusable making this the most cost effective system available.

The Protimeter MMS3 Flooring kit allows flooring inspectors to make moisture measurements in concrete floor slabs using the relative humidity in-situ probe method. The In-situ humidity test is being adopted worldwide and is considered the most accurate way for contractors and inspectors to ensure that the moisture levels in the concrete slab meet the recommended requirements prior to installing a floor covering.

Moisture levels in floor slabs are critical to understand as excessive moisture can lead to catastrophic and expensive floor failures. Global standards are in place such as ASTM F2170.

Protimeter MMS3

The Protimeter MMS3 represents the latest in moisture measurement technology. The ergonomic 4-in-1 design allows for fast and accurate full building diagnostics both on and below the surface, from new building construction to refurbishing projects in existing buildings. Also, with built-in hygrometric capabilities and an infrared (IR) laser thermometer, the MMS3 also assesses indoor air quality conditions. The Protimeter MMS3 measures moisture in wood and wood floors, drywall, concrete and concrete block, stucco, plaster, masonry and other building materials.
