TQC SHEEN SP0010 Hardness Pen Basic

Brought to you by TQC Sheen, our specialist testing brand, the TQC Sheen Hardness Pen is a pocket instrument for testing the hardness, wear and scratch resistance of materials such as coatings, lacquers, plastics and related products.

A tungsten carbide tip is drawn over the surface with a defined constant pressure. The pressure on the tip can be changed using the slider or by changing the spring. A visual mark on the surface after use of the Hardness Pen indicates a fail of the surface hardness or wear or scratch resistance. The pen can be used on flat and curved surfaces. The laser-engraved scale is clearly visible on the grey background.

Options:
There are two versions available, the Hardness Pen Basic (SP0010) and the Pro (SP0015).

Standards
Each hardness pen is in accordance to DIN 55656. Additionally, results can be obtained equal to: ISO 1518; AS 3894.4; EN 438-2, SIS 184188, and corporated standards like Bosch, Volvo, Opel and Van Laar.
