The indenter point’s small diameter enables precision, but it’s best suited for homogeneous materials.

Applications
For accurate results, the test area should be smooth, free from mechanical damage, and at least 1/32 inch thick with a minimum distance of 1/8 inch from edges. Note that the tester may show variations in readings for materials with a coarse or fibrous structure and is unsuitable for curved surfaces.

Built to endure field conditions, the Barcol Hardness Tester package includes a carrying case, an adjusting wrench, and two spare indenter points, ensuring its longevity and dependability across a range of testing environments.
