The non-contact Calipri C4x series with rolling stock measurement modules meets the rail industry's need for a simple profile gauge with user-independent results for complete wheelset testing. CALIPRI stands for multifunctionality all along the line. The non-contact measuring technology allows the inspection of wheel profile, wheel diameter, brake disc and back-to-back distance with one and the same measuring device. The patented CALIPRI principle automatically corrects user errors and thus leads to reproducible measurement results. The measuring system consists of a sensor and a tablet PC for defining the measuring sequence and entering limit values. Tolerances that are exceeded are indicated to the user by a traffic light system. The measurement data can then be printed or exported as a report. Two versions are available: Calipri C42 for heavy rail vehicles and Calipri C41 for light rail vehicles.
CALIPRI C41 / C42 handheld measurement devices are widely used within the rail industry to support train wheel manufacturing and quality assurance. The CALIPRI technology is also applied to train and rail maintenance and service application including wheel profile wear and diameter measurement, brake disc wear analysis, rail and switch wear measurement and wheelset back-to-back distance measurements.
