The Extech MO290: Pinless Moisture Psychrometer + IR can provide the perfect solution to ensuring that building materials are safe to use. The device can not only ensure that wood is not damaged by moisture; the pinless moisture tester is also capable of measuring humidity, air temperature with its built in probe and can also measures temperature using infrared (IR) measurements. The device is particularly useful in construction but is also used in other industries.
The device allows measurement of the moisture levels within wood and other building materials without causing any surface damage, and can measure up to 19mm below the surface. This non-invasive measurement is able to detect moisture at a depth of 0.75" and the Extech MO290 also ships as standard with a pin moisture probe that allows users to gain moisture measurements below the surface of the material.

The built-in IR thermometer allows measurements of surface temperature to be made and utilises distance to spot ratio of 8:1 and 0.95 fixed emissivity. The Extech MO290 also has a built-in humidity and temperature probe, which is able to measure ait temperature, relative humidity, grains per pound, dew point and vapour pressure. 

This device can even let you programme high and low alarms for different measurements.
