Developed by TQC Sheen, our paint testing specialist brand, the SuperPIG Paint Inspection Gauge III is a highly accurate coating thickness gauge that also observes and measures substrate and film defects.   

Paint thickness has a huge impact on performance, appearance and application. It can also be a key part of making sure that a coating meets industry standards, so it’s essential you test and inspect and get to know exactly what you’re dealing with.  

A robust and reliable paint coating thickness gauge 
The SuperPIG III is built using titanium anodised aluminum. It offers three cutter sizes and one crosscut knife in one holder. Our paint thickness gauge comes with a double scale that allows you to observe and calculate both micrometers and mils.  

Coating thickness gauge ease of use 
After creating a small incision in the layer of paint with the SuperPIG’s cutter, one uses the integrated 50x enlarging microscope and built in reticule to assess it.  

The high-end microscope and LED illumination as used in the SuperPIG III ensure well illuminated and clear observations for the best coating thickness evaluation.  

Space saving paint inspection 
The SuperPIG III has a compact, space saving and ergonomic design. It features a smart revolving system that enables a simple and fast swap out cutters for faster testing.
