The Model RC-31P is a high quality, portable, hand held residual chlorine meter.
It offers an alternative to the more widely used reagent based methods (such as DPD water testing kits) for testing water for residual chlorine concentration in the field. The main advantage is that measurement with this instrument does not require the use of any reagents. 100s of measurements can be made each day without needing a single reagent pack.
The instrument can be calibrated by alignment with DPD measurements or with any other type of measurement method preferred by the user.
The main uses are for testing chlorine concentration at various points along the distribution system and for testing residual chlorine concentration in municipal swimming pools.
It offers laboratory equipment levels or performance in a portable package. Its robust, waterproof, IP-67 rated construction enables it to be equally at home in the laboratory or outside in the field.
It offers highly flexible operating power options including conventional AA size batteries, rechargeable batteries or an external AC adapter.
An interface is also offered to connect the instrument to external devices such as personal computers, printers etc..
