This is an exciting totally new acoustic Ground Microphone incorporating a unique digital background noise reduction technology. The noise reduction electronics enables the operator to identify and pinpoint difficult to find water leaks within the typical daytie noisy environment.
The noise reduction system eliminates all sudden and intermittent noise not associated with the constant leakage noise. The electronics continuously samples and compares past noise with real time noise levels across a broad spectrum of frequencies. All transient and shock noises are cancelled out by the sophisticated electronics, leaving only the high gain, constant sounds that are normally associated with water leakage. ( Aviation-grade stereo headphones are optional.)

Since the sounds travel on the pipe walls better than through the soil, always listen at the hydrants, valves, and meters first. As you get closer to the leak, the sound gets louder. Finally, decide which two of these locations are the loudest.
Display up to 250 data on screen, Valve 5 is the highest noise strength in the following graph.

This technology is designed to pinpoint leaks in pipes to within 10cm over hundreds of meters. The other systems currently available will locate obvious leaks in steel & cast iron pipes easily but have great difficulty locating leaks in softer pipe materials i.e. PVC, AC etc. The LC-2500 is the Digital Signal Processing ( DSP) based compact, accurate, portable and sensitive system available. The LC-2500 will locate leaks in all pipe materials.
Lightweight, portable and easy to operate leak detection unit to survey and listen for leaks in pipelines. This system is designed to listen for leaks through the ground and therefore does not need contact with the pipeline. Featuring high sensitivity and precise unwanted noise filtering.
