Uses LED indicator with a green, yellow, and red scale to measure moisture from 6% to 30%, with ±1% accuracy. Readings above 30 are a relative scale and show increasing levels of moisture, not true % moisture. Automatic switch turns Protimeter on when cap is removed. To use, just press probes into the surface you’re testing. Measures % moisture in over 150 species of wood, including Eastern white pine, lodgepole pine, red oak, white oak, and walnut. Calibration booklet included to help you with many more species. Package includes: Protimeter and cap, calibration chart, calibration check, carrying case, and 9V battery. Two year warranty from the manufacturer.
