The Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser is ideal for use in the professional power industry. It is compliant with IEC 61000-4-15 Class A and provides full quadrant analysis meeting the needs of energy consumers and producers, including those involved in renewable energy such as photovoltaic and wind farms. Moreover, the Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser can be used to record the state of networks and transformers, as well as analyse their load capacity, and forecast failures in distribution networks. To this end it offers the following measurements capabilites:

Voltages L1, L2, L3, N, PE (five measurement inputs): up to 1000V; the Sonel PQM-710 measures the average, minimum, maximum and instant voltages and supports interoperability with voltage transducers
Current L1, L2, L3, N (four measurement inputs): up to 6kA (depending on the current clamp); the Sonel PQM-710 measures minimum, maximum, average and instant currents and supports interoperability with current transducers
Crest factor for current (CFI) and voltage (CFU)
Unbalance of voltage and current
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) for voltage and current
Up to 50th harmonics for voltage and current
Interharmonics (measured as groups)
K factor
Power factor: cosφ, tanφ
Power: active (P), reactive (Q), distortion (D), and apparent (S) with identification of the nature of reactive power (capacitive and inductive)
Calculation of reactive power using the Budeanu and IEEE 1459 methods
Energy: active (EP), reactive (EQ) and apparent (ES)
Short-term flicker (PST)
Long-term flicker (PLT)
Frequency: 40Hz to 70Hz
The Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser will also measure control signals up to 3000 Hz. Furthermore, it will detect and record current and voltage events with waveforms, as well as record voltage and current waveforms after each averaging period.

A built-in GSM modem facilitates remote operation and data transfer. Additionally, the Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser’s built-in Wi-Fi communication module enables the use of local Wi-Fi infrastructure and facilitates limitless file and data transfer. A smartphone or tablet, such as the one included with this PQA, with the Sonel Analysis Mobile application installed can serve as a remote monitor. This allows the user to adapt to the worksite and means he/she can supervise measurements from a convenient and safe location.

The Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser also features an integrated GPS receiver which provides real-time clock accuracy. This component also supports the Anti-Theft function which will alert the user via text when the Sonel PQM-710 is moved from its position.

The Sonel PQM-710 Power Quality Analyser can be used to gather the information required to develop power infrastructure, predict potential problems, and verify the efficacy of corrective measures.
